Wearing pops of colour and colour blocking is never particularly out of fashion, it just depends on whether you like it or not and how you wear it. At the moment, there are lots of bright colours out there and it’s great to add a pop of colour to a plain outfit, especially as the weather starts to get cooler. Colour makes us happy! Everyone can wear at least one colour - even better if it’s in your palette of course! The options below all come in warm and cool colour options!
This Boden coat took my breath away, it’s so beautiful. It comes in three colours - a warm camel, a cool blue (size 12 left) and a deep cool black (black & grey so not so colourful), something to cover most colour palettes and tastes. But it’s the back of the coat that has the contrasting colours. It’s an investment at £250 but it’s a classic shape and a statement without being too much of a statement - it would last for years. I’m sure people would stop you on the street and asked you where you got it from in 5 years time.
I’ve had my eye on these Stella & Dot earrings for a while now, I love the versatility as you can choose any two pieces to put together! I was never much good at maths, but there are 8 options to combine. There is a mixture of warm and cool colours but I think the only ones I might avoid (as I’m warm) would be the cool pink and the large green ones - the reverse is a soft silver but it has enough warmth to it when combined with the yellow, orange or tan. I’m also super excited about the yellow and lilac combination - I keep seeing this colour combination on Instagram, and I’m sold! I’ve never been a fan of lilac but I think I’m about to change my mind. I’m a Stella & Dot stylist so you can shop these here - there’s also a smaller version with silver and cool colours!
And finally, adding a bold pop of colour in a handbag is a great way to add colour to an outfit. This great quality John Lewis & Partners leather cross body bag from their new range comes in this warm orange, a cool blue - and it also comes in two neutral colours.
